I just pulled this from the random button.
Tell me this video doesn't spawn some memories?
Pretty cool vid!
Good Morning Everyone.
Welcome to Circle Fest!
Keep your crayons handy.
Don't tell me you and Pottery are going to start dancing around in the woods under a full moon again are you?
The last time you guys did that the dogs howled for three days! :)
Another busy day ahead, have to take all the wall hangers down and putty up the holes.
Once that dries I can repaint and the room is ready for a bedroom set.
Have a great day you guys.
Heh!
Not on your Nilly, Nelly!
I try to resist dancing with gentlemen, in the moonlight anyway.
And especially when there are Forest Nymphs around.
Not on his Nilly Nelly!
On the forest floor.
And not with me!
With the Nymphs!
AH !
That makes far more sense.
Nothing like a couple of Nymphs in the moonlight....
Busy here today, so keep up.
Somethings wrong with that equation!
What a Depressing Thought.....
But you are absolutely correct, you know.
Makes me think I should reconsider my Modus Oporendi, and spend the next 3 months in bed!
Might not achieve the Wealth. But I'll be Rested.
Yep. Good Plan!
:o)
Gonna see if I can talk Angie into KFC or Chinese tonight.
Don't really feel inspired to cook.
Not nap time yet, just finished lunch after taking all of the anchors off the wall. Headed to Lowes for a small container of DAP putty to fill in the holes left by the anchors. Usually takes two layers of that stuff to fill in the holes and then it will be nap time!
Forest Nymphs huh? I think you and Pottery need to back away from those charcoal BBQ's of yours and get some fresh air. :)
Back to work, behave yourselves.
I thought we were being Exemplary Exemplars, myself.
And what have you got against those sweet little Nymphs, anyway?
You need to encourage them into your garden you know.
Them and the Devas and Faeries and stuff.
Plus, they make good target practice.....
:):))
Nice bright day here, with the Odd shower.
I never know how to deal with Odd showers.
My turn in the Galley.
Stewed chicken,. heavily browned in the pot, with garlic, ginger, onions and spanish thyme.
That's bubbling now, and the spuds, pumpkin and carrots go in soon.
May do some rice to soak up the gravy.
More for us Pottery!
(BTW...that dinner sounds good to me. Picked up some Chinese on the way home a while ago.)
So...speaking of Woodland Nymphs and Archery practice and such things...and seeing as how I've been a bit lax in the posting of tunes:
Heart - Dream of the Archer.
Wayfaring warrior Soul - still wild
The archer stands
Arrow measured to the goal - sing of
Strong and living man
In his mind there is a vision wand'ring
Through the forest town
Telling of riches only given if through
The woods the way is found
Crying "ah! Beautiful dancers ...wake up
From your sleep!
Ahhh gentle romancers...drink of Love
So sweet!"
Treasure glowing in their eyes - Forest
Deepens dark their dream
"Keep to the pathway" he advised "the woods
Are more than they might seem"
"Heed you now the apparition bending never
Ending sounds
Call you into her mystery - are your eyes
Not sparkling now?"
Sighing "ahh! Take you no warning -
Make no foolish fight
Ahh, think not of morning - lie here
Through the Night!"
"Beauty take us!" they call "In my arms!"
They hear her say
Silken web falls - mist illusion rips away
"Helpless! Helpless!" now they scream
Helpless on the path he stands
And awakens from his dream singing string
Beneath his hand
Gentle archer ages old - release the aim
Free the goal
Roll your arrow to my Soul - release the aim
Free the goal
An this is the end of it for me.
Rest Well Friends!
Wow, that sounded really great until you got to the Pumpkin.
I don't think we have a cooking pot big enough for a Pumpkin.
Do you cut a little Haloween Face out of it before you put it in the pot?
I will see if SugarBear has ever done that. :)
I can see it now, "Well gee honey, Pottery says he puts a pumpkin in his chicken stew."
heh heh heh
Otherwise your next chicken stew will likely have a pumpkin floating in it.
You know how she's always trying to get you to eat more veggies.
You may be right, last night she fed me some kind of yellow gourd thingie. She sliced it into little silver dollar thingies and fried it with some onions. The onions were good, but the little yellow silver dollars were mushy. I hate mushy food. Well, mashed potatoes are not really mushy, they are just soft. :)
OK, the sword room is no more. Finished the spackling this morning and painted the spackling this afternoon. The guest bedroom is now ready for some furniture. Oh boy, thats always fun. :)
Ever try spaghetti squash?
Yeah, me neither, but I've seen it.
I guess you could use it for tying
gourdian knots!
:o)
Done correctly Spaghetti Squash is just fine. It's not squishy and you get to put as much butter as you want on it.
Ever try salmon roe?
It's difficult to cook it right but gently poached it approaches Tobiko (flying fish roe), my favorite.
Careful though, you're gonna turn RTLSNK's stomach!
LOL
Might try to get back here in a while.
Ah, the Philistines within this blog.... :):))
You have to cut the Pump into 1" squares, without the skin.
It helps with the delicate flavours of the pot, and thickens the brew quite nicely.
It was very good, and the Ladies of the house ate it all up too.
I realise that you people never eat Pump unless it is in a pie though.
Very strange behaviour!
Had a busy one, so I'm going to watch the re-runs of The Games.
Might be back later.
Noting some weather to the East but think we'll be OK with that one.
The one behind that, well......
Angie thought that was cool, so points for me!
Pottery,
Yeah, it might almost be un-American, but not a big fan of pumpkin pie. But then again, I'm not really a big dessert eater anyway.
I am sure that your stew was totally awesome. If you didn't mention pumpkin, RTLSNK would even be likely to give it a thumbs up!
Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Sometimes, I wish I was more ignorant.
Okay then...moving on to the weather.
Will keep an eye on 92, but not really feeling it yet.
As for the next one...I don't worry much about things that are 5000 miles away. If I did, I'd be a wreck.
Really quite tired of being hot all the time.
Wake me up when September ends!
Difficult to get and even more difficult to keep fresh but it goes well with pumpkin pie (and an "Asahi" beer or two).
Been a while!
Thanks YCD.
Alas, although we had a very stiff breeze earlier from the storms to the north, they have fizzled out upon arival.
Grateful for the burst of cool air,
Alas...No wind...no rain!
Signing off for a while.
Sleep well my crew!
-Hood out!
You don't eat BAIT.
You take that big filet of Redfish and roll it
in flour and egg and cornmeal and deep fat fry it!
Or Snook, or Red Snapper! Yum
Fish eggs and sushi, good grief. :)
"Ain't no Mountain high enough!"
Manyana (can't do the omlouts and whatnot yet).
I need a nap.
Got to stay up another hour waiting on grout to haze over for a final wipe down to be ready for the pool guys in the AM to re-coat the pool. I laid a glass mosaic band around my daughter's jacuzzi portion in her pool. The daily rains have kept that project most tedious. But, she's done now. On to the next project.
Floors are all demoed and base boards painted. Wall paper stripped which requires two walls that need texture.
The list grows...
:))
Although Sheph seems to have been up all night.
Daughters do that!
Also, I think I'll go with Snakeymon's breakfast of fried snapper, over the entrails of lesser known marine critters, myself.
It's all very well, but.....
Sun is bright, birdies are tweeting (they all have accounts, you know) and the day is filled with Promise.
Welcome to your "Retirement" years! :)
Yes siree bobcat as they say in these parts!
Today is buy a bedroom set to go in the new swordless room.
Having participated with SugarBear in this type of shopping in the past,
it requires going to at least 3 furniture stores looking around,
and then going back to the very first store and buying what you liked there.
Why did we have to go to the other 2 stores?
I don't have a clue. :)
Have a Lovely time, my friend.
Prowling around furniture shops is one of my "don't do's".
A couple years ago I decided I would go and buy MYSELF a chair for the living room.
It was Perfect. For a while. Expensive, too.
Then the upholstery -a sort of soft weave of some kind of vegetation- began to sprout mushrooms and spores and all sorts of unpleasant life-forms.
Many applications of anti-life were applied with negative results.
It made a really great bonfire.
I am not allowed to go shopping for furniture again.
You may interpret this as you see fit!
:):))
I need a nap
:)
L8rs
The Fungal throne.
Could be exploding faery rings.
Could be overly enthusiastic slinging about of mushroom compost by the slithery one wot done it.
Take your pick.
Good Morning.
ROFL
That's OK.
When you have a daughter, all you can say is "I Enlisted".
:)
Hmmm...
I had not considered this aspect of the thing.
These sporish entities can travel through the ether I think.
It's quite likely that my domain has been infected by his manure.
This is a Serious Situation.
Could become an International Incident.
I probably won't peruse it though.
We all know he is doing this due to irrevocable instructions emanating from higher up the pecking order.
And we are all subject to these things......
ONWARD>>>>>>>>>
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more...
A bit like being underwater.
NICE !!
But those buckets hurt!
"
Welcome, & I'm glad you stopped by.
Good set of rain songs...Thanks!
the night at the opera. The SW has already gathered the Tutu and pink Leo to recreate the classic Pose of lord Pott. Should be a gas.
That sounds incredible!
Really happy for you. Enjoy these special times my friend. They grow up waaaaay too fast!
Was a hit...might should have saved that for Friday night.
Working out how to top it.
G'night friends!
What, are you encouraging those poor kids to be Strange?
heheheheh
Sounds like a Blast, Goof!
Just poppin in, on my last sip of brew and then going to hit the sack.
In Miami Lakes, bin working me butt off like freaking 10hr days, got a couple more and I am done for this job.
Naked swirl has puffed up, (the wave the wave) lol..... guess cleaning AC's on a roof of a 3 story building maybe out of the question, the rest is in inside, Yay there is a God
Ok cya :)
That's for sure! No matter what age they are now,
they will always be our "little princess".
It is as it should be sayeth the sooth sayer. :)
I assure you Robin Hoodlum,
I had nothing to do with the strange one buying himself a chair made out of some dubious local plant life.
He is one of "those island people" you know.
They will often weave banana leaves around Calabash Tree limbs
tied with coconut string stolen in the dead of night from terrified flatlanders
who would not venture out into the moonlit hours knowing that the Jumbies were outside
wailing and cavorting in the fields and forests.
Little does he know
that when he is asleep at night his chair gathers itself together again
even though he destroyed it in the bonfire
and prowls around his house waiting for him to come outside.
It is a good thing that it can't open the front door. :)
