Even though today is the first day of summer, it seems like it has been summer forever already. We have had above normal temps since April with almost no exceptions. It has almost been too hot for me. Last year we rarely ran the AC. This year, we can't seem to find a day cool enough to turn it off. Look out electric bill!

We had nice weather today with our high in the low 80's and it has been sunny most of the day. We have had a few cloudy periods and rain is in the forecast for tonight. Our conditions at 9:30 PM:

A Very Wet June
Posted by: chatcat, 1:46 PM GMT on June 15, 2010 +0
So far this month it seems like all it has done is rain. They predicted a hot, dry summer for us this year. Where is it? Our lawn is growing out of control and we have a bumper crop of mosquitoes . . . . . again. Today is cloudy and damp. The dew point is very high . . . . 61F, making it very muggy out there. With severe flooding taking place in many parts of the country and even here in northern Michigan, I think it is high time that the rain machine was turned off. Unfortunately I don't have anything to say about it. Today we can expect more rain, a 40% chance of it, and no sun expected until Thursday.

OUR FORECAST:
Today: A 40 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 72. East wind between 10 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a low around 60. East wind between 3 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Wednesday: A chance of showers before 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. West wind between 8 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday Night: Patchy fog after 3am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 58. West northwest wind between 10 and 13 mph becoming light. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph.

Thursday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 84. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 89.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65.

It seems like our temps have been going from one extreme to the other this year. We go from very hot to chilly. Personally, I'll take the chilly. Those 85-90F temps are too hot for me.
