Remember the 2004 hurricane season? Four hurricanes hitting one state? Well, did you know that was an El Nino year? It is what I call "the transition to El Nino", and this season could be similar. The NHC is forecasting about 14-16 named storms, similar to 2004. Last hurricane season was similar to 2003 hurricane season, because of the direction the storms were taking. Now the only thing I am not sure about is the Cape Verde season. It doesn't seem too dominant since a lot of dust storms are affecting Africa. But I do think some big system in the Caribbean could develop and potentially threaten land. We will see....I am not predicting anything but I just see a relation that should be mentioned. That and I haven't blogged in a while. Enjoy your day!
