The Weather Where I Am

Tonight's another crazy night (as far as weather goes) in SW MO. I was directly in the path of the 5-22 tornado that hit Joplin, MO and I lost my workplace because of that storm. My co-workers and I were all in the middle of it, but we survived. This past weekend, as a way to make some money, a few of us from the Joplin Backyard Burgers worked at the 1st annual Show-Me Music & Arts Festival in Springfield, MO. Our company was one of several catering the event. This past Saturday night (6-18) Train, who was the ending act for the evening, had to cut their performance short because of the weather. The sirens went off in Springfield, but I and some of my co-workers were staying at a hotel in Ozark. We missed the storm, and apparently no touchdowns occurred in Springfield. There were reports of half dollar-sized hail and strong winds, neither of which we experienced, thankfully. Tonight is another night of uncertainty, as another system seems to be headed straight for Joplin/Webb City from SE Kansas.
