A little about my self -

I joined weather Underground in August of 2005 right after they opened the blogging feature. I have been a weather hobbyist since the middle 60's when I lived on the west coast of Florida, north of the Tampa Bay area. I currently live in a small community in central Illinois.

I have been through numerous Hurricanes during my life time. The worse being Hurricane Camille in August 17,1969, A Cat 5, where the eye passed over the location I was at. That being Biloxi, Ms when I was in the USAF stationed at Keesler AFB.

Skye ... we could use some rain too ... 81 degrees today here broke the old record by 5 degrees and we will be close to high temp records for the next 3 or 4 days ... We really haven't had a winter this year and will pay for it with increase in amount of bugs (good and bad ones)that will be around this year... Yes Winter seems to be over with flowers blooming ... another record today as the old record was 79 degrees and thus far the high is 80 ... normal high for today is 51 degrees.. very unusual spring so far ... we still have a chance for colder weather till about the middle of April ... just look at what the weather is bringing to the State of Arizona this week ... Hi everyone. So, want to hear about that bear? It all happened about 3/4 blocks from my house. That bear has given trouble for several months and this time it was bad. That woman and her dog were trying to get away from her when she fell and got bit bad! She was yelling for all she was worth and several people came running out of the houses with everything they had. Bear left at about 10mins. They got her 4 days later and she was putdown. We were all very relieved. And Happy Everybody is sick around here. Walking their dogs with their pockets filled with kleenex. Weather has been crazy for months. Me Too. I see you're only 10º colder than me. It's so cold! My blood has been thinning for a hot, hot summer..it's harsh. Should have checked with my Dad before that last squall line. He's in a home now, so he gets the complete old folk reaction to what's coming. He said the weather nuts went off like he'd never seen. One lady demanded 2X4s for the windows, a few hunkered in the hall & a few were issuing forecasts including a retired NWS guy. It's his first 'cane season there so it could be interesting.
