... Wind chill warning remains in effect from 4 am Saturday to
1 PM EST Sunday...

* locations... the southern tier... Syracuse area and The Finger
lakes regions of New York.

* Hazard types... dangerously low wind chills and extreme cold.

* Timing... beginning Saturday morning... coldest Saturday night
into Sunday morning.

* Impacts... potential frostbite and hypothermia. The extreme
cold may also lead to potential frozen pipes.

* Wind chill readings... 15 to 30 below zero Saturday... then 25 t0
35 below Saturday night into Sunday morning. Lowest wind chills
will be over the higher terrain.

* Winds... becoming northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 to 40
mph Saturday... decreasing late Saturday night into Sunday.

* Temperatures... near zero to 5 below zero Saturday... and
continuing to fall through Saturday night to lows of 5 to 15
below zero Sunday morning... coldest at higher elevations.

* At 132 am EST... a dangerous snow squall was along a line extending
from Earlville to near Catharine... and moving southeast at 25 mph.

This dangerous squall will be near...
Sherburne... Earlville and Smyrna around 140 am EST.
Plymouth around 145 am EST.
North Norwich around 150 am EST.
Horseheads north around 155 am EST.
Norwich and New Berlin around 200 am EST.
Erin and Breesport around 205 am EST.
Van Etten around 210 am EST.
Gilbertsville around 220 am EST.

Visibilities will drop quickly to near zero in this dangerous squall.
