Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 8:50 AM CST Feb. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST /noon
CST/ this afternoon...

* timing... scattered snow showers through late morning...
tapering off to flurries this afternoon.

* Main impact... occasional moderate snow showers will result in
quick accumulations of up to another 1/2 inch. Roads will
remain or become slick and snow covered... especially
secondary and untreated surfaces.

* Other impacts... wind chill values will be in the single digits
to near zero into the early afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Research shows that more traffic accidents occur with an inch or
less of snow... before drivers realize that traction is reduced.
Don't become a statistic... slow down and leave extra distance
between vehicles.
