Blizzard Watch
Issued: 3:04 AM CST Feb. 6, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard watch now in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Monday morning...

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a blizzard watch... which is in effect from Sunday afternoon
through Monday morning.

* Blizzard conditions are possible from Sunday afternoon through
Monday morning.

* Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph could cause whiteout
conditions in blowing snow. Significant drifting of the snow is
likely.

* Total snow accumulations of up to 2 inches are possible.

* Travel could be very difficult or impossible... including during
the morning commute on Monday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A blizzard watch means there is a potential for falling and
blowing snow with strong winds and extremely poor visibilities.
This can lead to whiteout conditions and make travel very
dangerous.
