... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 PM Wednesday to
6 am CST Thursday...

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 PM Wednesday to
6 am CST Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for freezing rain... sleet... and snow... which is in
effect from noon Wednesday to 6 am CST Thursday. The Winter Storm
Watch is no longer in effect.

* Event... freezing rain... sleet... and snow will spread from
north to south on Wednesday. Wintry precipitation will
initially start as freezing rain and sleet before
transitioning to snow. Freezing rain accumulations will exceed
a quarter of an inch... mainly in southeast Arkansas. Snow
amounts will be from 1 to 3 inches with isolated higher
amounts.

* Areas affected... locations south of a line from Camden... to
Monticello... to Dumas.

* Timing... freezing rain will begin by Wednesday afternoon and
transition to sleet. Before the time precipitation comes to an
end Thursday morning... there will be a brief period of snow.

* Impacts... accumulating snow will likely cause travel issues on
area roadways. Sporadic power outages will also be possible
due to icing.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow...
sleet... and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also
possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

the Ouachita River at Thatcher l&d.
* Until late Tuesday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 6:00 am Monday the stage was 79.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 79.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
this evening.

The dense fog advisory is now in effect until 11 am CST this
morning.

* Event... areas of dense fog will be prevalent through mid
morning Tuesday.

* Areas affected... mainly along and south of a Waldron... to
Little Rock... to Brinkley line. This includes the cities of
Mena... Arkadelphia... Camden... Little Rock and Brinkley.

* Visibility... visibility will be reduced to less than one
quarter mile at times.

* Impacts... dense fog will make driving conditions hazardous...
especially in valleys... outlying areas and near bodies of
water.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
