Nowcast | as of 2:56 PM CST on March 4, 2015

At 2:56 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated a mix of precipitation ongoing across much of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Light rain continues across far southeast Oklahoma where temperatures remain above freezing. North of there...a transition was occurring to light freezing rain and light sleet...eventually transitioning further north to snow up to the Kansas and Missouri state lines. Through 5:00 PM...a narrow band of light freezing rain and light sleet will remain possible for parts of southeast Oklahoma...with light rain to continue over the far southeast corner of the state. North of the freezing rain the precipitation will primarily fall in the form of snow...however some light sleet may mix in at times. Many area roadways have become slick and hazardous...as such motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling this afternoon.
