At 2:52 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms over northwest Arkansas and parts southeast Oklahoma. This activity was moving off to the northeast at around 20 mph. Through 5:00 PM...showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible for locations generally along and to the east of an Ashland Oklahoma to Gravette Arkansas line. For most locations impacted...periods of light showers will be common...with average hourly rainfall of up to one tenth of an inch. Where thunderstorms occur...hourly rainfall rates to near one inch will be possible. The storms lifting northeast out of Benton County will be capable of producing small hail and gusty winds.

... Significant weather advisory...

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a
significant weather advisory effective until 330 PM CDT
for the following counties...

In northwest Arkansas
     central Madison and eastern Washington

At 255 PM CDT... a strong thunderstorm was located 5 miles north of
crosses... moving northeast at 20 mph. Some locations that will be
affected by this storm include... Harmony... Georgetown... Huntsville...
Aurora... Wesley... crosses... Witter... Japton and Alabam.

This storm will be capable of producing penny size hail and wind
gusts to 40 mph. Residents in these areas should remain alert in case
the significant weather advisory is upgraded to a warning.
