The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
southeastern Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* until 100 PM MST

* at 1237 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm
capable of producing half dollar size hail and damaging winds in
excess of 60 mph. This storm was located 12 miles southeast of
Wupatki National Monument... or 28 miles northeast of Flagstaff...
and moving southeast at 20 mph. This replaces warning number 0098.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Coconino County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Severe thunderstorms are capable of producing damaging wind gusts...
destructive hail... deadly lighting and very heavy rain. For your
protection... take cover in a sturdy building and stay away from
windows until the storm passes. Heavy rain floods roads quickly. Do
not drive into areas where water covers the Road.

If you are in the path of this storm... prepare immediately for large
hail and damaging winds. People outside should move to a shelter...
preferably inside a strong building and away from windows.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
eastern Coconino County in north central Arizona...
northern Navajo County in northeastern Arizona...

* until 345 PM MST

* at 1244 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated nearly stationary
thunderstorms producing heavy rain about 10 miles northwest of
Shonto. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

This includes the following streams and drainages... sour water
wash... Shonto wash... Navajo creek... Tsegi Canyon... Last End Wash and
Begashibito Wash.

This includes Highway 160 between mile markers 344 and 357.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas
where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper
than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough
to sweep vehicles off the Road.

west central Navajo County in northeastern Arizona...

* until 330 PM MST

* at 1228 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain in an area about 15 miles northwest of Heber-Overgaard.
Up to two inches of rain in one hour has already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Flash flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern
Coconino and west central Navajo counties.

This includes the following streams and drainages... squaw
wash... Wildcat Canyon... Chevelon Canyon... Black Canyon and potato
wash.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

* at 1123 am MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This may cause minor flooding along portions US
Highway 89a... west of Lees Ferry... between milepost 555 and
milepost 540.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marble Canyon.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Soap Creek...
House Rock wash... Badger Canyon... jackass creek... South Fork Soap
Creek... and Emmett wash.
