The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from 2 PM to 11 PM PDT Monday.

* Thunderstorms: isolated dry thunderstorms are expected to become
scattered late this afternoon and continue tonight. While storms
will start out dry... they will become wetter with time. Skies
will clear early Monday morning with scattered thunderstorms
developing again Monday afternoon.

* Impacts: increasing thunderstorm activity will create erratic
fire behavior.

* Affected area:
in south central or... fire weather zone 625.

* Counties affected: lake and Harney.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that extreme fire conditions are
occurring or imminent.

Abundant lightning on existing very dry fuels could cause
numerous new fire ignitions. Gusty and erratic outflow winds could
also create extreme fire growth potential.
