Ah, glad you found this, Mara! We share a love of these dainty blossoms. I had wild ones at my last place (Aquilegia canadensis), but deliberately didn't bring them with me when we moved because they were some of these take-over types, you know... These garden varieties are perennial here, and seed around a little but are not aggressive, which is good because I don't have as much time to tend them as might be. BTW, the Yellow Swans are up and doing well, though they won't bloom THIS year.

Thanks so much, Kathy; you're such a sweet-heart with columbines! Mine still do have one or two flowers but then I'll have to replant all if i want them again next year; they're a lot like tulips here in the Deep South. Love and Columbines! (but they are a plenty wild in an Absaroka summer!)
