While shooting the Egrets, I forgot about the goose family in the area. Got pretty close before I saw them. I appologized and momma was very tolerant of my getting so close. I always talk to them-thinking if they hear my voice they will ignore me. Seems to work.

I have noticed that a lot of them nesting here this spring are banded. I have thought maybe that some look a little rough and maybe they loose some feathers when they are caught to be banded?
