I tell you what, Duane..you are one of the
best advertisements for Iphones! You take
some really great pix with that thing, as
the Blue border proves! I'm sorry it took
fire to make such a great shot, but I'm glad
you got the Blue! Congratulations!

I love this! So sorry about the fire... as an aside, back in the late 60's my father had a wood-chopping accident while we were camping at Almanor... got patched up at the little hospital in Chester. Fond memories of the area, despite the mishap. Thanks for sharing!!!

Nature`s cruelty and beauty are so close together !
Your shot is great - the fire and it`s devastation is bad - there is only hope that it can eventually be contained.
CONGRATULATIONS on this AC, Duane !

The fire is zero containment and over 11,000 acres - they are thinking maybe another 10 days. The fire is at Beldon where the North Fork and Spanish creek meet.

do they have the fire contained yet? we've had soo much smoke up here, I haven't had a chance to check around and see what's happening. things are soooo dry!!.........tough fighting a fire in any canyon, but the Feather River must be a real challenge!
