Friday April 27, 2012

Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, PA

Caption: They're referred to as *mountains* but actually The Poconos are plateaued and are very flat, albeit elevated 1,300+ feet more than the "lowland" to the east. Trout Creek exits Brady's Lake (elev. 1,717'), and is seen from a bridge on State Game Land where the Wilkes-Barre & Eastern (1892 - 1939) rail bed is.

A very beautiful view. Low or High Elev, there is Beauty everywhere. Here (Taos NM) we are at 7,000 ft in the low land. Mtns around go up to 13,000+.
This is a very Rare view here in the High Desert country.

About lousyfocus

lousyfocus

SWDM; 60+; 2 grown daughters; 3 indoor cats. Have had only 4 addresses ever - all of which have been within 25 mi. of each other in NE PA, where civilization has become too noticeable. Productivity at this end suffered a setback quite awhile ago, but picture-taking is an attempt to hopefully show that it has at least partially been restored - with some titles and/or captions intending to increase the "fun" of the process. Comments of support have made life immeasurably better. It is hugely attractive that this site provides so many well-done glimpses of the world. My oldest WunderPhotos which understandably weren't anybody's favorites - and thousands of other pics - can no longer be seen by clicking on "Visit My Website" next to this bio. The site (Webshots) has been restructured, resulting in the undoing of many, many hours of effort. "My WunderBlogs" might have provided pleasing viewing...but photos there, too, have been wiped out by the restructuring; and it's unknown if/when the photos will ever be re-uploaded to the blogs. The WunderBlog space is much appreciated and I wish that I could add to it - and upload to WunderPhotos - more often...but realizing that sites can make any change that pleases them has cooled me to the cyber-world.
