Love the history! I enjoyed reading about the great race as a kid and still do today! What a stupendous job those men had, probably in horrible heat! Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us. :-)

About pasocorto

pasocorto

Let me introduce myself. My name is Ann. I’ve always loved the beauty around me, from this great earth to all the creatures found on it. My handle “Pasocorto” comes from the gait of pasofino horses, which I own and love. I’m semi retired and groom dogs part time. Photography has always been a passion. It is great to see and share all of the wonderful photos that are posted here on Wunderground.com. A big thanks to my brother, Ivan, for introducing me to so many new friends.
