Thank you everyone. We actually got a little rain last night. I am hoping they got a little more that high up on the mountain. These fires have been so bad. You can see all the rock showing where the Nuttal fire in 2004 burned most of the lower north face. It takes a long time for the forest to regrow.

Well done, Sue! Hope this situation was under control quickly. The adrenaline rush of photography, and the thrill of the chase are great medicine, and a marvelous connection to this WUnder World of ours.

Summer has barely begun but the fires are already burning in quite a few states. Even here in Va we have fires in the Shenandoah Mountains, including the Sky Line Drive in the Front Royal area. Lets hope that all of the fires will be soon contained.

I agree with the above comments, great photo, bad situation.

About suelynnes

suelynnes

I have been very ill for a long time and recently had to stop working. I decided to learn photography as a way to keep my brain and hands functioning. Bear, the pic on my icon passed away in Oct.2013. We really loved this big kitty, even as grumpy as he was. Glad to see so many enjoy his picture.
