I wanted to thank everyone for the kind comments on Solo. I have received many emails about him. He is a rescue horse that we adopted. Now his is fat and happy :) Thanks to everyone that was concerned about him.

Thank you Gil and Cathy, we are the lucky ones. They are amazing animals that know how different things are now from the terrible places they came from (all different situations). They are most appreciative and show us lots of love.

Thank you Donna, shy, Lori, and Peg. All six of the horses are awesome but the three rescues seem to just "know" life is good. We are truly blessed by these beautiful creatures!

Thank you for all the kind comments. Wow, I have never been so surprised by the response of a series before. To think I almost deleted the entire folder because I thought the sun was too bright. So glad I did not!

as a dedicated lover of horse & working with horses (polo & now natural horsemanship training of young horses) when I looked on this photo - I sighed - feeling the peace I know of such moments - the picture for me not only captured the beauty, but also the peace of the moment...... I searched the lake almost expecting to see "the Lady of the Lake" appear just like in Camelot

dixiedaughter Hello, my name is Leslie. I borrowed my handle from my Tennessee Walking horse, Dixie's Daughter. I am a retired respiratory therapist and home care director. My interests include photography, genealogy, historical societies, reenacting (Revolutionary War, WBTS) horse rescue, and paranormal investigating. I am also a big believer in karma and try to live my life accordingly. My husband (AUphoto) and I have two houses, one is a country house on a farm and the other is on the outskirts of Montgomery on Lake Cameron. I enjoy this site very much and love traveling around the World with you each day to amazing places. I appreciate you looking at my photographs and I appreciate you posting yours.
