illiac, it appears to be your turn. I'm in CT - last winter was enough for me over here. 3 storms a week - every storm measured in feet. Ladders and roof rakes were the norm for over 2 months. In the spring, the melt ended up in the basement. Now it's your turn. Alaska rendered me an unwelcome dejavu last week as well. Hang in there; it will all melt and go away eventually. So far so good over here! Have a nice day.

Yes, it is our turn here. We have had another 2 inches this morning. I'll post some more pictures if I can get them up before the power goes out again.

I guess this doesn't really look like a foot of snow. . . its in the forest so not much reaches the ground. There are some areas under the hemlock trees that have barely a dusting of snow. I measured from the top of the truck canopy, which is still somewhat "shaded" under several large fir trees.

thanks to all! Finally got our power back on - now back to the modern world:) This was a big snow event here, but absolutely sublime and just a little bit scary with 100 foot trees around the house. . . but picturesque for sure!
